Pet of the Week: Two tortie cats at Leominster Fitch ACO

Say hello to not one, but two "Pets of the Week." And that's because these two beauties need an immediate placement. Currently with Leominster Fitchburg Animal Control, this bonded pair seek "a quiet home, with no other animals, and only one or two people," the Animal Control Officer reports. "Their life has been turned upside down, and they are looking for a place to decompress in a new home."

Both have tortoise-shell patterns, over a cream background and can be placed immediately. Please join us in saying "Thank you" to the caring people who serve in the difficult field of Animal Control. This is an office every city and town must fund, and since the pandemic, the rise of inflation, the number of stray and abandoned animals has exploded. Any prospective pet owner must understand that providing permanent care to a cat is part of the moral bargain - and that care (food, litter, supplies, regular vet visits to ensure good health) generally runs between $1000 and $1500 a year. If you are able to help these two kitties, call 978-956-4082 and leave a message.
