The Kansas City Chiefs hope their season ends at Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, California, but it will certainly begin a lot farther away than that.
The Chiefs, who lost the 2025 Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles, will open their season Friday against their AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers, in Brazil.
The Chiefs remain one of the most headline-grabbing teams in the NFL, having appeared in three consecutive Super Bowls and boasting stars like Patrick Mahomes, while tight end Travis Kelce has seen his fame soar to new heights thanks to his relationship with fiancée Taylor Swift.
The Chargers, meanwhile, are no pushover. Coached by Jim Harbaugh, they feature star quarterback Justin Herbert and are considered an up-and-coming squad.
The two teams will also meet again in Week 15 when the Chiefs host the Chargers on Dec. 14.
