MANILA - Senator Risa Hontiveros on Monday made public her 2024 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), reaffirming her call for full transparency and accountability among government officials.
Based on her SALN as of Dec. 31, 2024, Hontiveros declared total assets of PHP19.88 million, liabilities of PHP897,840, and a net worth of PHP18.99 million.
Her declared assets include residential properties and personal items such as cash deposits, vehicles, furniture, jewelry, and equity in installment purchases.
She reported no relatives in government service and no new business interests aside from existing small shareholdings in a few enterprises.
Hontiveros said her decision to release her SALN is in line with her long-standing advocacy to restore public access to financial disclosures of public servants.
"I strongly support and welcome the removal of the unjust, unconstitutional and anti-people restrictions on access to public officials' SALNs," Hontiveros said in an earlier statement.
"The new rules should be applied equally on all public officials -- from the highest to the lowest, past or present -- even with reasonable limitations related to personal or sensitive information and security," she added.
She said making SALNs accessible to the public strengthens trust in government and ensures that officials remain accountable for their actions.
Hontiveros has consistently made her SALNs publicly available since she assumed office in 2016.
