If you have been following the wireless mic scene, you have probably heard of RØDE's Wireless Micro. The tiny transmitter duo launched last year and quickly became the darling of smartphone creators everywhere. But there's always been one obvious question: what about actual cameras?

Well, RØDE finally heard you. Today the Australian audio company announced the Wireless Micro Camera Kit, which takes everything people loved about the original and adds what everyone's been asking for - a proper on-camera receiver.

What You Get

The setup is pretty straightforward. Two ultra-compact transmitters with built-in mics, a USBC smartphone receiver, and now a new camera receiver with a 1.1" AMOLED display. The camera receiver has both 3.5mm TRS and USBC outputs, so it will work with pretty much any camera you throw at it.

RØDE claims over 100m of transmission range. The transmitters weight just 12.3g, pack seven hours of battery life, and the charging case gives you two additional full charges for 21hrs total. GainAssist handles levels automatically, so you don't need to fiddle with gain staging.

One neat trick: iOS users can skip the receiver entirely and connect via Bluetooth using RØDE's Capture app. Android folks still need the physical receiver.

Who's This For?

Run-and-gun content creators who need two wireless mics that just work. Interviews, documentaries, even coverage - situations where you want clean audio without lugging around pro gear or spending 20ms on setup.

At $149, it's priced right in that sweet spot where independent creators can justify the purchase. The kit ships worldwide starting today.
