Two areas of the Midlands region have been put on alert following weather warnings issued by the Met Office.
Two yellow warnings and one amber warning for rain has been issued for the United Kingdom starting at midnight (December 1).
The alerts do not cover the West Midlands region but it could have knock-on effects.
One alert area covers much of Wales and the South West of England.
However two areas of Shropshire bordering Wales have been issued flood alerts by the Environment Agency (EA).
In each area, communities have been advised that 'flooding is possible' and to 'be prepared'.
One is the Tern and Perry catchments, with flooding possible today (November 30), according to the EA.
An EA alert said: "Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Wolverley to Newport.
"Other locations that may be affected include Market Drayton, Wem, and Rodington.
"We are closely monitoring the situation.
"Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water."
The other is at the Severn Vyrnwy confluence at the border with Wales.
An EA alert added: "Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury."
