She may have forged a career on the big screen in recent years, but Daisy Edgar-Jones will be returning to TV in the near future. With a brand new project from an acclaimed screenwriter, this is a project that will generate excitement.
The actor, best known for Normal People and Twisters, will lead the cast alongside Nicholas Hoult for Mosquito, a six-part comedy-drama which is being produced by streamers Hulu and Disney+.
Billed as a "wry relationship comedy", Mosquito sees the pair portray Kate and Ed, a "recently married couple whose secrets begin to reveal as daily life chips away at the personas they present...all started by an intrusive mosquito."
The series is being written by Tony McNamara, who has garnered acclaim for his work with Yorgos Lanthimos on features such as The Favourite and Poor Things. He also created satirical period drama The Great, which starred Hoult.
Furthermore, the Academy Award nominee also has experience in producing heightened relationship dramas with a biting comedic edge, with his most recent work being the script for The Roses.

"I'm thrilled and excited to work with and team up two of the best actors around. I can't wait to go make absurd comedy with them," said the screenwriter, who won a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Favourite.
Disney's Eric Schrier and Angela Jain, who called McNamara "one of the most talented writers", added: "He has an unmatched ability to bring fascinating and complex stories to life, weaving sharply-written, intricate dialogue with signature dark-humour and complexity."
Mosquito will be the first TV project in four years for Edgar-Jones, with the actor last appearing on the small screen opposite Andrew Garfield and Sam Worthington in 2022's Under the Banner of Heaven.
