CAMAS -- As the defending Class 4A state champions in girls basketball, the Camas Papermakers are learning what it means to be a reigning state champion.
But with it comes a new learning experience -- what it's like to be a different team in 2024-25 compared to the one that captured its first state title in program history last March.
Through seven games, including coach Scott Thompson said he's pleased with where his team is: a 6-1 record, despite a 63-49 loss to Davis of Yakima on Friday in a non-league tilt featuring two teams that earned state trophies at the Tacoma Dome in March.
