The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Friday upheld Lincoln's handling of the analyst's benefits claim, disagreeing with his allegations that the insurer improperly sided with its nurse consultants over his counselor and wrongly failed to independently examine him. Lincoln thoroughly reviewed the analyst's medical evidence and properly considered his combination of conditions, the appeals court said in a two-page, unpublished opinion.
