Google Meet goes down in India as users report errors and connection failures

Many people in India faced trouble using Google Meet on Wednesday, November 26, after the service unexpectedly went down late in the morning. Reports on Downdetector started rising around 11 am, with users saying they couldn't join meetings or load the website at all.

Most complaints pointed to the Google Meet website not working, which made up about two-thirds of all reports. A large number of people also said they were getting server errors, while a few mentioned that the video quality had suddenly dropped.

Several users shared screenshots online showing a "502 error," a message that usually appears when a service is temporarily unavailable. The outage caused frustration for those in the middle of work calls, online classes or scheduled meetings.

Google has not yet explained what caused the disruption or how long it will take to fix things. For now, many are simply refreshing their browsers and checking updates as they wait for Google Meet to return to normal.
