The artist -- real name Willie Ray Norwood Jr. -- was arrested on Thanksgiving on suspicion of making criminal threats, Los Angeles police confirmed, according to NBC News.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence on Nov. 27 shortly before 4 a.m. at which point Norwood was taken into custody, per NBC News citing a statement from law enforcement.
According to online arrest records, Norwood, 44, was released later that same day after his $50,000 bond was paid.
Video published by TMZ -- which has not been independently verified by NBC News or E! News -- on Nov. 27 appears to show an argument between Norwood and his estranged wife Princess Love, whom he married in 2016.
In the video, which was originally shared as a livestream, Norwood and Love -- who share a 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son -- seem to be arguing over their children before Norwood appears to pull out a handgun.
