Food stall that has been 'incredibly busy since day one' leaves Darley Street Market

A FOOD stall that has been "incredibly busy since day one" has left Darley Street Market.

Taste of Thai, which was situated on the top floor of the building in the Darley Street Kitchen, announced it has now closed its stall.

A post on the food outlet's social media pages said: "We would like to inform our valued customers that we have now closed our stall at Darley Street Market."

Taste of Thai brought customers the flavours of Thailand in the form of appetisers, stir fries, curries and stir-fried noodles, with every dish freshly made to order.

Those behind the business described themselves as being "committed to serving you delicious, authentic Thai food with love in every bite."

In July, it thanked the public for their "amazing support" and said the stall had "been incredibly busy since day one."

But this isn't the end of Taste of Thai.

The closure announcement also included an insight into plans for the future.

It said: "We are currently planning to reopen at a new location in Bradford City Centre soon, and we will share more updates with you shortly.

"Thank you so much for your continued support. We truly appreciate every one of you, and we hope to see you again very soon "

It comes as Darley Street Market is about to undergo its first major shake-up since opening in the Summer.

Adam Halliday, who currently runs cafes at both Keighley and Halifax markets, will be taking over the two café spaces on the ground floor of the city centre market, with his famous jacket potatoes taking over one space while his traditional market café will take over the other.

The soft opening of Darley Spuds will be held on Monday (December 1) while the traditional market café will have its soft opening on Wednesday (December 3).

Adam's Café, Bradford, will be serving up an extensive menu including a traditional English breakfast menu.

An all-day full English breakfast including a hot drink is priced at just £7.95.

The menu also includes a vegetarian breakfast, bacon and sausage sandwiches and toasted currant teacakes.

There will also be traditional café staples including roast of the day, pie and peas, burgers, pies, omelettes and chips, hot and cold sandwiches and soups.

Adam's Café will also have a kid's menu as well as daily seasonal homemade specials such as beef stew, casserole and hotpot dishes.

He will still be continuing both his Keighley and Halifax market cafes.

One of the units will be replacing Caffe Brigante - which will be moving from its current unit to Darley Street Kitchen on the top floor.
