OH implements AI software to improve physician-patient visits

Artificial intelligence is being utilized in new ways seemingly every day, and Owensboro Health recently implemented its use to improve patient-physician communication and relieve physicians of time-consuming note taking.

Owensboro Health is part of a pilot group of 40 providers that in early December started using Dragon Ambient Experience (DAX), an AI-powered software that automatically documents patient visits. DAX records conversations during in-person and telehealth visits, which allows providers to focus on their patients and not their computer.
