An HSR bus driver was charged with careless driving Wednesday night after two cyclists were struck by a bus in west Hamilton.
Hamilton police confirmed the crash Thursday afternoon and said both cyclists were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Const. Trevor McKenna said the city bus was headed west on Main Street West, just past a plaza between Ewen Road and Osler Drive, when it made "contact" with the cyclists "who were in the curb lane."

One cyclist was trapped under the bus when police arrived, McKenna said. Firefighters and paramedics also responded to the call.
McKenna said the HSR driver was charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
Reached by phone, HSR driver union head Eric Tuck said the union is aware of the collision.
"It's still being investigated from our end, so I don't have all of the details yet," the transit union head said, extending sympathies for the two cyclists who sustained minor injuries.
"Any time we have an accident involving pedestrians or cyclists, we take it very seriously," Tuck added.
