Known for its traditional Sunday roasts, signature Steak and Weetwood Ale Pie, and carefully curated selection of ales, the pub is a favourite with both locals and visitors.

It has also been featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2026, further cementing its reputation as one of the region's best pubs.

Martin Barnes, one of the family owners, said: "The pub is going from strength to strength, receiving recognition for our consistency of hospitality, food, drink and service is extremely encouraging."

"The pub has so much potential, we feel we owe it to the history of the building to make it the best it can be."

The award comes as the team prepares for a busy festive season, with Christmas party bookings already open.
