The 2025 F1 season is heading into its final five races. What seemed like a two-way title fight between McLaren's two drivers just got more interesting after the weekend Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen had at the U.S. Grand Prix.
Verstappen, who won three out of the last four races and currently sits at third in overall driver standings, started and finished in P1 in both the sprint and the race for a total of 33 points, cutting the gap between him and first place Oscar Piastri to 40 points.
Verstappen will start P5 in today's race, behind Mercedes' George Russell in P4; both Ferraris, Lewis Hamilton in P3 and Charles Leclerc in P2; and McLaren's Lando Norris at pole. It marks the first time Norris will start at the front of the pack in Mexico City.
The Mexico City Grand Prix is raced on a 2.674-mile circuit with 17 turns. The race is 71 laps, for a total 189.738 miles.
