TNA seems to be the hottest partner in the pro wrestling scene at the moment. Not only is TNA's partnership with WWE growing, but some of their roster members are rumored to be a part of Worlds Collide. However, the partnerships don't end there. TNA teamed with Zone·ify to throw a charity event called Border Brawl on May 25, 2025. This event featured talent from both promotions competing in a battle for country supremacy. The show also saw Barbie Blank's TNA debut as she played a heel for the first time in her career. Not only did Barbie coach Team USA, but she also accompanied a former WWE Superstar down the aisle for a Flag Match. Here's what went down with Barbie Blank at Border Brawl!
Border Brawl held its first (and, so far, only) event at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre in Ontario. This wrestling show was presented as a satire of the ongoing tariff tensions between the United States and Canada.
Some proceeds of the event will go to various charities, as its website states,
"In the spirit of unity and impact beyond the ring, proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit nonprofit organizations that support injured veterans and service members in their journey of healing and recovery. By attending The Border Brawl, fans will not only witness an unforgettable night of body slams and border pride -- they'll also be supporting real-life warriors who've fought for and served."
Both companies had talent duke it out on behalf of America and Canada. The show ended up as a tie, with both countries earning 5 points each. However, American and Canadian wrestlers ended up banding together to take on The System. When it was over, the allied powers won, and all of the competitors stood tall, proudly waving the Canadian and American flags in unison.
It's been a while since Kelly Kelly has been involved in pro wrestling. However, the WWE legend has no problem thrusting herself back into the spotlight as a Coach for Team USA.
As the event took place in Canada, Team USA were heels. This was Kelly Kelly's first time playing a heel character, and the former WWE Superstar embraced it.
Barbie Blank cut a promo on Team Canada. She promised Team Canada Coaches (Jacques Rougeau and Allie) that America would assert dominance over Canada.
Originally, Barbie Blank was supposed to share coaching duties with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. However, Rampage posted a video on social media on his way to the event, stating that border patrol wouldn't allow the UFC legend into Canada.
Barbie Blank is best known for her time as the former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. However, the wrestler-turned-reality-star can now add "manager' to her resume. The ex-WWE Diva accompanied Nic Nemeth down the aisle to face Santino Marella in a Flag Match for the scheduled Main Event of Border Brawl.
Santino had Allie and Jacques Rougeau in his corner to represent Team Canada. Rougeau was the former Mountie, and his experience as the cattle-prod-handling heel came in handy.
The ex-Mountie gave Santino the cattle prod to use on Nic Nemeth as the Team USA member was reaching for his flag. Santino shocked Nemeth and then took him out with The Cobra. This allowed Santino to grab the Canadian flag and secure the win for Team Canada, tying up the series.
Kelly Kelly and Dolph Ziggler had a short program in WWE. She teamed with Edge to help Edge back his World Title from Dolph Ziggler and Laycool. This led to Vickie Guerrero, Dolph's girlfriend, temporarily firing Kelly Kelly.
While Barbie Blank and Nic Nemeth didn't have much interaction onscreen, they were rumored to have dated between 2008 and 2010. It's nice to see Nic Nemeth and Barbie Blank are still on good terms.
Barbie Blank's TNA debut has created quite a buzz. Another former WWE Diva recently crossed the line to TNA in Victoria Crawford. The ex-Alicia Fox is an assistant to Robert Stone, who is evaluating the competency of the current Director of Authority, Santino Marella. In this storyline, Santino Marella is set to team up with his daughter for the first time.
Now that Victoria Crawford is with TNA full-time, she also competed in the Border Brawl event. Victoria Crawford represented Team USA in a losing effort to Courtney Rush.
While Victoria Crawford lost the match, she still won the day. The former WWE star was able to catch up with her old friend, Barbie Blank.
