Newcastle United must now wait until the New Year to make any further moves in the transfer market.
Nick Woltemade joined the six other arrivals at St James' Park this season: Antonio Cordero, Aaron Ramsdale, Jacob Ramsey, Yoane Wissa, and Anthony Elanga. Meanwhile, the Alexander Isak transfer saga concluded with the striker completing a British-record £125 million move to Liverpool.
Alongside Isak's blockbuster deadline-day transfer, Newcastle also parted ways with Sean Longstaff, Callum Wilson, Martin Dubravka, and Lloyd Kelly. Odysseas Vlachodimos and Matt Targett were deemed surplus to requirements and sent out on loan, Jamal Lewis was released and young winger Garang Kuol has moved to Czech side Sparta Prague.
With the window shut for the next few months, ChronicleLive has taken a look at the latest headlines from St James' Park and beyond.
During this week's international break, Anthony Elanga was asked about Isak's departure to Liverpool. He said: "It's been chill. He had a contract with us and right now he's with Liverpool.
"But we all think he's a very good player. We've lost a good player. But we've also signed good players. Hopefully we can look ahead and focus on this season."
Chronicle Live says: For many Newcastle supporters, Isak now belongs to the past as the club focuses on performing well in the present while looking ahead to the future. Elanga was no different; acknowledging Isak's talent and the impact of his departure, he remained positive and professional, highlighting the new signings and the squad's focus on the season ahead.
Caught Offside report that Tottenham 'plan' to make a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who is also admired by Newcastle. However, interest in the England international extends beyond those two clubs, with Aston Villa and West Ham also monitoring his situation closely.
Earlier this summer, Spurs triggered Gibbs-White's release clause, but Forest blocked the move. The midfielder has since signed a new three-year deal with the Reds running until 2028.
Chronicle Live says: Gibbs-White could finally be on the move in the New Year, after a potential switch to Tottenham was blocked earlier in the transfer window. While it remains unclear whether Newcastle will join the growing list of clubs willing to compete for the midfielder, his arrival would provide Eddie Howe with a versatile and creative option in the middle of the park.
Gibbs-White's ability to link play, drive forward from midfield and contribute goals could make him a valuable asset for Newcastle in the near future.
