The Ellsworth Boys Basketball Team handed Caribou their 1st loss of the season, beating the Vikings 65-52 in Ellsworth on Friday, December 20th.
The Eagles used a 18-6 3rd Quarter and never looked back.
Ellsworth led 17-14 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 34-28 at the end of the 1st Half. It was 52-34 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.
Ellsworth was led by Brayden King with 15 points, including a 3-pointer. Holli Grindal had 13 points with a 3-pointer. Kyle Kenny and Dawson Curtis each had 12 points. The Eagles were 5-9 from the free throw line.
Caribou was led by Tristan Robbins with 15 points. Owen Carrigan had 11 points with 2 3-pointers. Brayden Brescia had 10 points with 2 3-pointers. Kaymen Sargent and Max Morrow each had a 3-pointer. The Vikings were 8-13 from the free throw line.
