(KRON) -- A driver faces multiple felony charges, including child endangerment, after fleeing from Vallejo officers and crashing into two vehicles on Thursday, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
The police pursuit began when a 2019 Nissan Rogue was spotted "committing multiple vehicle code violations" near Fairgrounds and Gateway drives, authorities said. The driver allegedly fled from officers at a high rate of speed as they attempted a traffic stop.
The pursuit was halted due to the suspect's reckless driving, narrowly missing a head-on collision with a Solano County Sheriff's Office vehicle, Vallejo PD said. Moments later, the driver collided with two other occupied vehicles.
Two people from the uninvolved vehicles were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect driver and two passengers, including one juvenile, were detained before the driver was also sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile passenger was released to a parent and the other passenger was released at the scene.
A search of the Nissan uncovered two unregistered, loaded firearms with extended magazines, police said. The driver, a felon with previous convictions for burglary and vehicle theft, was booked into the Solano County Jail for child endangerment and weapons charges.
