Supercar development launches inside one of South Africa's most exclusive estates

Avanti Residences and the Tatali Society Club at Zimbali Lakes recently introduced KwaZulu-Natal's first supercar-focused luxury residential development, combining high-end coastal living with exclusive automotive and lifestyle amenities.

On 26 August, the Avanti Residences and Tatali Society Club launched KwaZulu-Natal's first supercar-centric residential development on the province's North Coast.

This development, which will be located in one of South Africa's most exclusive estates, Zimbali Lakes, has drawn the attention of high-net-worth buyers, investors, and car enthusiasts.

Zimbali explained that the launch highlighted a demand for secure, world-class storage solutions for high-value vehicles in Kwa-Zulu Natal. It sought to answer this demand through its Tatali Society Club (TSC) Showroom and Supercar Vault.

Developed in partnership with RACE!, this climate-controlled, professionally managed facility offers showroom-grade presentation, detailing, and maintenance. It safeguards automotive assets that often exceed R5 million in value.

"Supercars are more than vehicles; they are delicate works of art that demand specialist care and asset management," said Neil Cocker, TSC & Avanti Residences Operations Manager.

"Our research confirmed the demand for this offering, with many collectors running out of space to securely house their investments."

The Zimbali Lakes team had the idea of providing all Tatali residents with access to the TSC Showroom and Supercar Vault.

This, Cocker said, means that those buying into Avanti Residences will also have access to both the lifestyle and management framework to protect their high-value automotive assets.

Beyond its automotive facilities, Avanti offers 63 residences, from one-bedroom apartments to expansive penthouses. All are designed to maximise Zimbali Lakes' ocean, lake, and fairway views.

Residents buying into Avanti will also have access to the TSC Skybar & Restaurant, a rooftop destination for experiential dining and sunset gatherings.

The additional membership to the TSC will offer whiskey lockers, cigar lounges, and curated networking events.

"Avanti Residences is a statement in design and lifestyle within Zimbali Lakes," said Dave McGregor, Sales and Marketing Manager at Zimbali Lakes.

"It combines the exclusivity of Zimbali Lakes Estate address with the unique prestige of a supercar-focused community, appealing to discerning investors who demand both returns and refinement."

Avanti Residences and TSC's operating partner, RACE!, brings global supercar customisation and presentation expertise.

Marco Casciani, owner of RACE!, explained that the partnership with Zimbali Lakes to create the TSC Showroom and Supercar Vault allows them to create a sanctuary for supercars in KZN.

The Supercar Vault is a climate-controlled sanctuary offering secure supercar storage, bespoke detailing, valet service, and full-spectrum automotive asset management.

"For me, cars have always been more than machines," Casciani said. "They're emotion, precision, and power - expressions of identity and craftsmanship."

"With the TSC Supercar Vault, we've created a safe haven in KZN where vehicles are not only protected, but curated and performance-ready."

"This is about preservation, value, and passion for a community that expects nothing less than excellence, and we are delighted to be part of this pioneering and innovative offering."

Residences at Avanti are now selling for R2.45 million for one-bedroom apartments, R5.3 million for two-bedroom duplexes, and R8.47 million for penthouses.

The flagship 3-bedroom penthouse is available at R17.5 million. Short-term rentals are permitted, and pets are welcome, subject to terms and conditions.
