Officers arrest mother on child endangerment warrant:  Rocky River Police Blotter

On May 3 a caller reported loud screaming and yelling coming from a residence. When officers arrived, they could hear loud yelling and someone saying not to answer the door.

The woman who came to the door told officers that she had seven children in the house and was yelling at them. The woman, a 38-year-old resident of the home, also had an outstanding warrant with the city of Rocky River for Child Endangerment. She was arrested on her warrant and the children were left in custody of her adult daughter.

Drunk driving, Wooster Road

On May 5 an officer stopped a driver after witnessing the car hitting a curb several times. The driver had an odor of alcoholic beverage and admitted to drinking earlier that evening.

On May 5 an officer stopped a driver for speeding. The driver, a 25-year-old Avon Lake resident, had slurred speech and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.

The man was given field sobriety tests and was arrested.
