Asian Paints has announced that Berger Paints Emirates Ltd Co (L.L.C), UAE -- a step-down subsidiary of Asian Paints International Private Limited, Singapore -- plans to establish its second paint manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the company, the proposed investment for the new unit is AED 140 million, which is approximately INR 340 crore. The plant will have an initial production capacity of 55,800 KL per annum.
The new facility will be developed on a 100,000 sq. m. plot located within the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) in Abu Dhabi. Asian Paints stated that this expansion is part of the group's ongoing efforts to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in the region.
The company has not provided additional details regarding timelines or operational commencement.
