KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - March Madness is here, and The Pat Summitt Foundation (PSF) is starting a tournament challenge.
The Pat Summitt Foundation fund is part of the East Tennessee Foundation (ETF). Pledges of support can be made to the PSF based on their March Madness bracket to raise funds to further the foundation's mission of increasing awareness and advancing research in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
"Pat Summitt's teams had a dominant presence during the NCAA tournament year after year, and her accomplishments speak for themselves. The Foundation enjoys finding ways to engage and interact with those who love basketball and Coach Summitt," said Morgan Vance, director of strategic initiatives and advancement for PSF. "We've had schools in the SEC host win challenges before, so we are excited to bring it to more fans and supporters across the country."
To participate in the challenge, sign up here. Participants can choose their team and the amount they would like to donate per win for that team. An invoice will be sent to each participant at the end of the NCAA Tournament.
