Dr Shaw told the court that Ms Murphy, from the Walsall area, was discovered in the West Lane property, her second home, following a fall, and was formally identified by her sister.
He said that post-mortem examination and a toxicology tests were undertaken, and these offered a cause of death of 'fracture of neck with compression of spinal cord, no doubt as a result of her injury, the fall'.
Dr Shaw noted: "Alcohol use is mentioned, as an excessive level of alcohol was discovered in her system. Under these circumstances a hearing is required."
A provisional date for a final hearing was set for March 31, 2026.
