After filming a video for her new song "Walk of Fame," the singer caught an infection that wasn't exactly a party in the USA. For the project, Cyrus rolled around on the ground on the Hollywood Walk of Fame -- and revealed the ramifications during an interview on Friday's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
"I filmed this video in October and by November, at Thanksgiving, I was put in an ICU for a moment, just for a moment," she said. "But it was mostly because it was Thanksgiving. There were a lot of people in the ER, you know, people choking on turkey legs or whatever. And my leg began to disintegrate within some way around the kneecap area."
Cyrus went on to say that her doctor asked her, "Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?"
Presumably washed with embarrassment, the singer had a flash of clarity remembering the great lengths she went to out of dedication to her craft.
She went on to say that the doctor took one look at her knee and said, simply, "Yuck."
She recalled, "They open up cadavers -- like, they see inside the guts of humans -- and they're looking at me, telling me I'm disgusting.".
