Abdeslam Ouaddou has weighed in on Lebone Seema's much-criticised goal-scoring opportunity against Mamelodi Sundowns, where the defender opted to go for goal with a teammate in space.

Peter Shalulile had opened the scoring early in the first half, before Camrin Dansin levelled matters with a screamer from the edge of the box 10 minutes before the break.

The Ghost could be forgiven for feeling somewhat unsatisfied by the result, with the side having had several chances to take the lead.
The best of those fell to Seema, who found himself through on goal after initiating a brilliant attacking move from inside the Bucs half. In a two-versus-one situation, with Tshepang Moremi available and onside, the ex-TS Galaxy man opted to shoot.
Ronwen Williams saved the tame effort.
The decision has been met with swift criticism, though Seema went on to be named Man of the Match after an otherwise stellar display.
However, speaking to the media at the post-match press conference, Ouaddou applauded the centre-back.
"He's still young and he had the man of the match, congratulations to him," said Ouaddou.
"We cannot blame such an initiative to score, but I think we had a better opportunity had he given the ball to his teammate to [score].
"We always say that as a player, you have to have the same feeling when you score or when you make an assist.

"But let's go with this result, it's one point. We still have some games in hand, and we need to win them.
"Definitely, we will not give up, and we have a strong target this season. We will continue to fight," he continued.
