Diljit Dosanjh Clarifies His 'No Concerts In India' Remark; Says 'Issue Was With Chandigarh...'

Singer Diljit Dosanjh, whose recent remark about not performing in India sparked controversy, clarified his statement. The singer had expressed concerns over the lack of infrastructure to hold live shows in India. Fans mistook it thinking he would not hold his concerts in India. Following the uproar, the singer clarified his remarks on X (formerly known as Twitter).

During his Chandigarh concert on 14 December, Dosanjh said, "We don't have the proper infrastructure for live shows here. This is a significant source of revenue, and many people rely on it for work. I'll try next time to ensure the stage is in the centre, so you can all gather around it. Until then, I won't be doing shows in India, that's certain."

In a now-deleted post on X, the singer clarified his statement and said, "Nope. I said CHD ch Venue di Prob. C So.. jab tak sahi venue nhi mil jata Mai Tab Tak CHD mai Next Show Plan Nhi Karunga (sic). (The problem was at the Chandigarh venue. So, till the time we get a proper venue in Chandigarh, I will not plan my next show there)... That's it."
