First baseman Roberto Pena ripped two home runs in sparking the Missoula PaddleHeads past the Billings Mustangs Saturday, 11-6, at Dehler Park.
Zootown's pro baseball team improved to 3-2 in Pioneer League action and can secure a series win over Billings (2-3) with a win Sunday afternoon in The Magic City. Missoula will start its first home series Tuesday night against the Glacier Range Riders (3-2).
Pena boosted his league-leading home run total to six and his RBI total to 12, which ranks third in the PBL. Mike Rosario and Colin Gordon also had two hits apiece for the PaddleHeads.
Missoula spotted Billings a 1-0 lead before Pena took center stage. He laced a two-run home run in the second and added a solo shot in the fifth to give his team a 3-1 lead.
The PaddleHeads took a 6-1 lead into the sixth and held on. The Mustangs cut their deficit to 6-5 before Missoula added three insurance runs in the seventh, one scoring on a Gordon base hit.

Matthew Sox earned the win, allowing one run on four hits with four strikeouts in four innings. Reece Fields came on in relief in the fifth and struggled, allowing four runs before being lifted with two outs in the inning. Andrew Armstrong, Mark Timmins and Arman Sabouri pitched the remaining three frames for the visitors, allowing just one run between them.
