FITCHBURG -- Mount Wachusett Community College's Theatre at the Mount invites performers to audition for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," the dazzling Andrew Lloyd Webber musical that brings the biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colors to vibrant life on stage.
Directed by Emily Smith, with music direction by Katrina Baer and choreography by Kim Soel, the production promises high-energy songs, dynamic dances, and a heartwarming tale of dreams, betrayal, and triumph.
Auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 (for children ages 7 and up) and at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 4 (for adults ages 14 and up). All auditions will be held at Mount Wachusett Community College, in Room A110.
Adults should prepare a short vocal selection that shows range (bring sheet music if not from the show) and wear appropriate footwear for the dance audition.
Children will be taught a song and short dance combination at the audition.

Performances will be held Friday, Nov. 28, Saturday, 29 and Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m., with matinees Sunday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. A sensory-friendly performance is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.
Rehearsals begin Sunday, Sept. 7 and will generally be held Sundays (6 from 9 p.m.) and Mondays and Wednesdays (7 from 9:30 p.m.). Children will rehearse Sundays from 2 until 5 p.m. during the first half of the rehearsal schedule, then join evening rehearsals closer to the show.
