HBO's highly anticipated 'Harry Potter' series is officially bringing a familiar face back to Hogwarts. Warwick Davis, who portrayed the beloved Charms Master Filius Flitwick across all eight original films, will reprise his role in the new adaptation. While Davis was double-billed in the films as both Flitwick and goblin banker Griphook, this time he'll focus solely on the former, with actor Leigh Gill stepping in to play Griphook.
Joining Davis on the Hogwarts faculty are Sirine Saba as Herbology Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as the ghostly History of Magic teacher Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan as the ever-reliable school nurse Madam Poppy Pomfrey.
The student body is also taking shape, with Elijah Oshin cast as half-blood Gryffindor Dean Thomas. Finn Stephens and William Nash will play Draco Malfoy's Slytherin cronies, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, respectively.

Production is now underway at Warner Bros.' Leavesden Studios in the U.K., with the new ensemble continuing to grow. Recently announced castings include the Weasley siblings: twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland as Fred and George, Ruari Spooner as Percy, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny.
Leading the series are Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. They're joined by an all-star lineup of wizarding world icons: John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley. Lox Pratt takes on Draco Malfoy, with Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy. Additional cast includes Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, and Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley.
Further additions revealed earlier this week include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as wandmaker Garrick Ollivander.
Set to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max, the series is helmed by showrunner and writer Francesca Gardiner (His Dark Materials, Killing Eve) and director Mark Mylod (Succession). Gardiner and Mylod will also executive produce alongside J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
