A school is taking action to put sustainability at the heart of everything it does.
South Wilts Grammar School recently held its first-ever Ground Force Day, bringing together more than 90 volunteers from the school community to support its environmental ambitions.
The event saw more than 7,000 spring bulbs planted across the school grounds, along with the installation of 25 large wooden planters and the preparation of vegetable plots.

Charlotte Briton and Martin Lawrence, co-sustainability leads at the school, said: "At SWGS, sustainability isn't just a topic -- it's a way of life.
"Through the dedication of our Eco Club and the leadership of our student ambassadors, we're proud to foster a culture where environmental responsibility is championed by the whole school community."
The initiative was supported by staff, parents, trustees, and the Friends of SWGS, with special thanks to Wilton Garden Centre and Dobbie's Garden Centre for their generous donations of bulbs and wildflower seeds.
Pupils are now competing to maintain the best displays.
The school's broader sustainability efforts include a commitment to reach net zero by 2030, supported by a dedicated climate action plan and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

It has already earned the Plastic Free Schools Award from Surfers Against Sewage and regularly involves students in eco-focused activities, including sustainable fashion and green sector events.
A school spokesman said: "SWGS remains committed to raising the profile of sustainability across the school and wider community.
