Football Roundup: Stoney Creek survives Ike, sets up rematch with Adams

Stoney Creek fended off a last-second attempt by Utica Eisenhower Friday night to defeat the Eagles 35-31 in a Division 1 district semifinal.

Visiting Ike had the ball at the Cougars' 19-yard line with five seconds left when Jack Fredenberg and Jake Lantzy converged in the end zone to bat down a pass intended for Keaton Duda to preserve the win.

Stoney Creek junior Brosie Telegadas had four touchdowns, including a reception of over 30 yards for the go-ahead score to help give the Cougars their first playoff victory since 2020.

Elsewhere in Rochester Hills, junior Lorenzo Sartor found the end zone on more than one occasion and Adams beat Rochester 34-10. It sets up the Highlanders to face the Cougars for a district championship in a rematch of Adams' 26-20 overtime win over Stoney from back in October.
