A 37-year-old man suspected of possessing child pornography in Santa Ana was taken into custody Wednesday.
Detectives executed a search warrant Wednesday in the 400 block of South Poplar Street, where multiple electronic devices were seized as evidence related to the investigation, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Juan Diego Rodriguez of Santa Ana was identified as a person of interest after a civilian investigator from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered he was allegedly downloading sexually inappropriate content of children, police said.
He was booked into the Santa Ana Jail on suspicion of felony possession of child pornography.
"The Santa Ana Police Department is proud to be a member of the Los Angeles Regional ICAC Task Force, which is dedicated to the investigation and prosecution of individuals involved in the abuse and exploitation of children via the internet," police said in a statement.
