A packed calendar of bonfire and fireworks displays for all the family to enjoy
Mid Devon is gearing up for a series of fireworks displays and bonfire nights, with family-friendly events set to take place across the district.
Tiverton Golf Club will stage a musical fireworks display with entertainment for all ages. A children's disco will run from 5pm to 7pm in the marquee, followed by the lighting of the bonfire at 7pm. The fireworks display, choreographed to music by Sonic Fireworks, will begin at 7.45pm. Live band FILTA will perform from 8pm.
The event also features an outdoor bar, food village, inflatables, and face painting. Children under three go free.
Bridwell Park's bonfire night event includes food and drink stalls, live music and a pyromusical fireworks show. Gates will open at 5pm with last entry at 6.15pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, followed by a fireworks display at 7pm presented by Sonic Fireworks & Events. The evening will also include live music from the Chris Ostler Band and is scheduled to finish between 8.30pm and 9pm.
Tiverton Rugby Club will host its annual fireworks night, with the club bar and food stalls open from 6pm. The fireworks display is due to begin at 7.30pm.
Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children aged four to fifteen. Children under four go free. There is no parking at the club apart from limited disabled spaces. Visitors are advised to walk to the event if possible, as nearby parking at Petroc College is also limited.
Moorhayes Community Centre - Friday, November 7
A second fireworks display will take place at Moorhayes Community Centre, with the event beginning at 7.30pm. Entry is free, with collections taking place on the night in support of the community centre.
The bar will open from 3pm and a BBQ will be available from 6pm. Sparklers will be provided in exchange for donations.
Cullompton Rugby Club - Friday, November 7
Cullompton Rugby Club will host what is described as the town's biggest fireworks display, with gates opening at 6pm. The show will be delivered by Sonic Fireworks, winners of the 2022 British Firework Championship. A bar and hot food will be available throughout the evening.
Entry costs £8 for adults and £5 for under-eighteens. Family tickets (two adults and two children) are priced at £22. Children under four go free. Under-eighteens must be accompanied by an adult. Sparklers are not permitted, and only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
