The parade will be available to watch on NBC, Peacock and Telemundo
Whether you have it on in the background while preparing the turkey or gathering around with your family to watch, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a beloved holiday tradition.
The 2025 edition of the annual spectacle will feature dozens of balloons and floats, as well as various marching bands and performers.
Some new additions to the lineup include Stranger Things and Labubu floats, along with the debut balloons of classic characters like Buzz Lightyear and Mario.
"Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the official kickoff to the holiday season and has been part of the nation's stories and traditions for generations," Will Coss, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade executive producer, said in a statement.
"The most wonderful stories start at the Parade," he continued. "On Thanksgiving morning, larger-than-life character balloons, awe-inspiring floats, and showstopping performances will create unforgettable moments and lasting holiday memories for millions of spectators in New York City and across the country."
With the cooking and celebrating, it will be a busy holiday. Here's everything to know about how to watch the 2025 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones on Thursday, Nov. 27.
For those who miss the morning live telecast, an encore presentation of the parade will air at 2 p.m. ET/PT.
The parade is three and a half hours long, and it will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Wicked: For Good star Cynthia Erivo is set to kick off the celebration with a "show-stopping opening number," per NBC.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live on NBC and Telemundo, and stream live on Peacock.
For the first time, Peacock viewers will be able to watch the festivities through a multiview option, featuring three different angles.
According to Variety, the cameras will have Traditional Programming (as seen on TV), Float View (from atop Tom the Turkey) and High-Rise View (for a bird's eye look).
Peacock's multiview mode debuted for the 2024 Paris Olympics, but this is the first time it has been offered "for a live entertainment special."
"The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the perfect moment for Multiview, allowing fans to catch never-before-seen viewpoints along the parade route, alongside the iconic floats and live performances," said Matt Strauss, NBCUniversal Media Group chairman, per Variety.
"Finding ways to enhance how our audiences enjoy our beloved programming and deliver unique viewing experiences and features is central to how we continue to raise the bar for live streaming on Peacock," he continued.
The 24th annual National Dog Show Presented by Purina will air after the parade.
This year's event will be broadcast from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in all time zones. It will be available to watch on NBC and stream on Peacock.
