A tip of the fashionable cowboy hat to the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, whose popular fundraiser Philanthropy on the Farm raised $600,000 to provide services for southern Colorado children, families and caregivers in Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs.

Guests wore their cowboy boots May 2 and headed out to Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur for a philanthropic evening of fun, camaraderie and one-of-a-kind food in a multicourse, locally sourced, farm-to-table dinner on long, elegant dining tables. Music and dancing finished out the night with Mannequin the Band.

Over five years, Philanthropy on the Farm has raised nearly $3.5 million -- and all money donated stays local. The 2026 event is planned for April 17 at Spruce Mountain Ranch. (PhilanthropyOnTheFarm.org)

Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation was founded in 1978 to support what was then one Children's Hospital. Then, as now, the focus was on family-centered care and "research that will lead to new treatments and cures for children."

Philanthropy on the Farm speakers noted the importance of philanthropy "in bringing world-class medical care to our region."
