FAIR GROVE, Mo. -- The Fair Grove School District has announced funeral plans for Fair Grove Elementary Principal Dr. Charity Hollan and bus driver Larry Smith, who died just a day apart from each other.
Dr. Hollan passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Her funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, beginning with a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and followed by a celebration of life service immediately afterward at Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield.
Hollan's family is asking for donations to the Children's Miracle Network in honor of Dr. Hollan in the place of flowers. Information on how to donate can be found here.
Larry Smith, a bus driver for Fair Grove Schools for more than five years, died on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024. The Fair Grove School District says a memorial visitation will be held for Smith on Jan. 3, 2025, at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield from 5-7 p.m.
