The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County recorded its highest increase since April 1 Saturday, rising 3.6 cents to $4.394.
The average price has increased 7.6 cents over the past three days, including 3.2 cents Friday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 8 cents more than one week ago and 6.8 cents more than one month ago, but 4.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.979 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the fourth consecutive day, increasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.149. It has risen 1.9 cents over the past four days, including four-tenths of a cent Friday. The increases follow a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents.
The national average price is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but six-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 22.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.867 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
