The new Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey lagoon show has debuted at Halloween Horror Nights 2025 in Universal Studios Florida.

A ghost story is rising from its watery grave to haunt the Universal Studios lagoon, featuring towering water screens and eerie music.
Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey is a plussed version of Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale, a lagoon show performed at HHN 31 in 2022. Unfortunately, Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale had to end performances early and wasn't able to return in later years due to damage from Hurricane Ian.
The lagoon got a brand new show system in 2024 for the new CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular. The new system adds a lot to the quality of Haunt-O-Phonic, though it uses much of the same animation as Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale.
Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey has a masculine narrator, who replaces the feminine narrator of Ghoulish! A Halloween Tale. Some wording has changed, but the script is similar to the original Ghoulish show.
The show features fountains, projections on the water as well as the surrounding buildings, and, of course, music. It mostly uses the original Ghoulish soundtrack with two changes. A remix of (Don't Fear) The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult replaced The Weeknd's Blinding Lights. (The Weeknd had a haunted house and a bar at HHN 31, so it made sense for his music to be featured that year.) Bad Moon Rising by John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival was also replaced with some updated songs.

When is Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey?
Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey is performed exclusively during Halloween Horror Nights at 9 p.m., 10 p.m., 11 p.m., and midnight. Showtimes are posted in the Central Park area of Universal Studios Florida, near the lagoon.
Halloween Horror Nights 2025
Halloween Horror Nights is at Universal Studios Florida on select nights from August 29 through November 2. In addition to Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey, guests can enjoy the stage show Nightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay. There are 10 haunted houses, four scare zones, and two brand-new "street experiences." Purchase tickets online.
