PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Maryland man has been charged in the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl earlier this week in North Philadelphia.
Anas Bey, 18, is charged with 3rd-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and other offenses.
The circumstances of the shooting are not yet known.
The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 2400 block of North Colorado Street.
According to investigators, the teen was found in a second-floor bedroom with a gunshot wound to the stomach. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Multiple people were inside the home at the time of the incident.
Officials confirmed the victim did not live at the residence where the shooting occurred.
