Popular North Texas Steakhouse Announces They're Permanently Closed
A staple over in Decatur announced this week they're no longer open.
You may not know this about me, but I have a lot of family that lives in Denton. It's about a two hour drive away from us in Wichita Falls. Many times, I would meet my family in the middle in Decatur for lunch. We would always have it at the same place. Sweetie Pies Ribeyes.
The steakhouse on the square in Decatur makes some of the best steaks I have ever had in Texas. This was the first Sweetie Pies Ribeyes location, they actually opened a second in North Richland Hills a few years ago. Sadly, just a few days ago they announced the Decatur location has closed.
In a pretty shocking announcement this week, the restaurant announced they're looking for work for all their employees after closing on Monday. The location in North Richland Hills will remain open for anyone craving one of their steaks. Comments have been turned off on the post, so no one is really saying why the sudden closure. This place was always busy from what I have experienced.
I have been delving into social media to figure out why they're closed down. In this post above, someone in the comments claims they were a server at this restaurant. "They are closing bc they apparently aren't making enough from the business anymore and they didn't tell anyone until this morning and let me go so now I'm jobless," said Ariell Davis.
I'll just have to drive a little further to get one of their steaks now. Sad to see.
