The National Hurricane Center has a 90% chance of tropical development by next week.Forecast model tracks keep the possible tropical system moving westerly before a potential west-northwest movement. At this time forecast models show impacts reaching the Lesser Antilles. There is greater forecast model uncertainty in the track and intensity after the next 5-7 days. INVEST 91-L is currently in the tropical Atlantic Ocean. Movement is to the west around 5-10 mph. With the final track still in question make sure to stay with WJCL 22 for updates anytime new forecast data is available. Closer to home, hot and humid weather is set to blanket the area Friday-Sunday. High temperatures return to the low 90s on Friday.The heat and humidity will continue Saturday. If you have outdoor plans pack some extra water and don't forget sunscreen.Rain chances return to the forecast Sunday, but any spotty showers or thunderstorms look to remain isolated. The chance of a shower or thunderstorm will be a bit higher by Monday.
