The panel of coaches and media submitted all 15 first-place votes for the defending state champion Crusaders this week. Saint Louis had a bye over the weekend and will play No. 3 Mililani on Saturday at John Kauinana Stadium.
Kahuku remained at No. 2 following a 38-0 loss to nationally-ranked Bishop Gorman (Nev.). All but two of the 15 voters notched Kahuku second on their ballots.
Kapolei stifled Kapaa, 35-0, and surged one spot higher to No. 3. The Hurricanes have a bye this weekend before playing at Kahuku on Sept. 12.
Kamehameha slipped to No. 4 after a 48-21 loss to West Linn (Ore.) on the road. The Warriors have a short week before playing JSerra (Calif.) on Friday at Kunuiakea Stadium.
Mililani stayed put at No. 5 following a 39-13 win over Coronado (Nev.). The Cougars are ranked seventh in Nevada by MaxPreps. That capped a two-win road trip for Coach Rod York's team. The Trojans opened with a 28-20 victory over Arbor View, ranked third in Nevada.
Waianae made the biggest move over the weekend, from No. 10 to No. 8. The Seariders defeated Radford, 43-8, in their OIA Division I opener and improved to 4-0 overall.
