MANILA, Philippines - Another ash emission was observed over the summit crater of the Kanlaon Volcano on Sunday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs reported that the ash emission occurred from 7:30 a.m. to 7:42 a.m., generating plumes that rose 300 meters above the crater, which then drifted southwest.
In its Sunday morning bulletin, Phivolcs recorded eight volcanic earthquakes at the volcano on Saturday.
Phivolcs also said that Kanlaon's sulfur dioxide flux reached 2,313 tons.
