Singapore, Nov 30 (SANA) Syrian teams achieved historic success at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO 2025), earning a gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze. They also ranked among the top eight teams worldwide.
The competition, held in Singapore from November 26-28 and featuring participants from more than 95 countries under the theme "The Future of Robots," showcased the strong performance of Syria's five participating teams.
In a statement, the Excellence and Creativity Authority said that these achievements "mark a major step forward in developing Syrian youth's technical and innovative skills" and reflect ongoing efforts to foster creativity while confirming their ability to excel in future technologies.
The World Robot Olympiad is one of the world's largest competitions in robotics and artificial intelligence, attracting thousands of students each year to present innovative solutions to contemporary technological challenges.
