Wizz Air Holdings Plc (WZZZY,WIZZ.L), a Hungary-based airline company, on Tuesday reported higher passenger traffic and capacity for August, though its load factor slightly declined from last year.
For August, the airlines carried passengers of 11.4 percent more passengers at 6.91 million from 6.20 million in the prior year.
Seat capacity increased 12.1 percent to 7.29 million from 6.50 million in the previous year.
Load factor declined to 94.8% compared with 95.4% last year.
During August, the company's CO2 MT emissions increased 5.7 percent to 0.54 million from 0.57 million in the prior year.
The company's CO2 emissions per passenger kilometre declined to 49.6 compared with 50.9 last year.
For the rolling 12-month period, Wizz Air reported that it carried 6.6 percent higher at 66.15 million passengers, up from 62.07 million in the previous year.
On Monday, Wizz Air closed trading, 0.59% lesser at 1,350 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
