Time to enforce
Mr. Ken Pelland writes that government needs to pass a law that prohibits the wearing of anything that conceals the identity of an individual. ('What are they hiding?'Letters to the Editor, Calgary Sun, Thursday.) Private Member's Bill C-309 proposed an amendment to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCoC) that would make it a criminal offence to wear any concealment. Bill C-309 passed and received Royal Assent on the19 June 2013. In summary: "This enactment amends the CCoC to make it an offence to wear a mask or other disguise to conceal one's identity while taking part in a riot or an unlawful assembly." Such a law exists in Canada, the rub is it's not enforced or applied by the police or the Crown.

Longest-ballot nonsense
What I think I see is the Longest Ballet buffoons up to their tricks again and it must be stopped. Unfortunately, it was self-inflicted by the change to the recall petitions by the UPC. Six more MLAs facing recall, this is being organized and is not just regular voters, as noted yesterday that they are being launched by people who didn't even vote in the last election, to stymie and waste more money and energy away from governing our province.
