SCRANTON -- The Crestwood girls basketball team picked up a quality nonleague win to start off its season.
Jackie Gallagher scored 24 points to lead the Comets past Scranton, 63-41, in a nonleague game Monday night in Lackawanna County.
Charlie Hiller contributed 16 points, and Keira Dougherty had 11 points for Crestwood in its season opener.
Chrissy Jacklinski led Scranton (0-1) with 25 points. Rhylee Bell added 10 points for the Lady Knights.
Wyoming Seminary 38, Northwest 37: At Northwest, Ella Stambaugh scored a game-high 22 points and Nori Neuwirth scored seven to help Wyoming Seminary hold off Northwest.
Ellie Kersey added five points for the Blue Knights.
Ava Ruckle led Northwest with 16 points. Ali Miner scored five.
Brandywine Heights 54, Wyoming Seminary 45: At Mountain View, Nate Winkler scored 15 points and Louis Johnson had 11 to lead Brandywine Heights to a win in the championship game of the Mountain View Tip-Off Tournament.
R.J. Gernhardt led Wyoming Seminary with 15 points. Lucas Latore scored 11 and Will Flanek had 10.
