$7.25M Patreon VPPA class action settlement
Patreon agreed to pay $7.25 million to resolve class action lawsuit claims that it shared user information without consent.
The settlement benefits individuals who requested or obtained videos on Patreon and had both a Facebook account and a Patreon account between April 1, 2016, and Sept. 23, 2024.
According to the privacy class action lawsuit, Patreon used Metal Pixel tracking to monitor user video-viewing preferences and identify them through Facebook accounts in violation of the federal Video Privacy Protection Act.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 1, 2025.

Consumers claim they did not receive the required consent disclosures and notices before using the virtual tools in Illinois.

$250K Luxottica data breach class action settlement
Luxottica agreed to pay $250,000 to resolve claims it failed to protect consumers from a 2020 data breach.
The settlement benefits individuals whose personal information the Luxottica data breach may have exposed between Aug. 5-Aug. 9, 2020.
According to the data breach class action lawsuit, the eyewear retailer failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to prevent the data breach. This breach allegedly compromised consumer Social Security numbers, financial data, health information and other sensitive identifiers.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 2, 2025.
PRGX Global data breach class action settlement
PRGX Global Inc. agreed to pay $675,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit claiming it failed to protect consumers from a 2022 data breach.
The PRGX Global settlement benefits individuals who received a data breach notice from PRGX regarding a data breach that occurred in April 2022.
According to the PRGX data breach class action lawsuit, the company should have protected consumers' sensitive data from the cyberattack through reasonable cybersecurity measures.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 2, 2025.
California gasoline resident class action settlement
Vitol, SK Energy Americas and SK Trading International agreed to pay $50 million to resolve California attorney general allegations claiming they conspired to raise gas prices.
The resident settlement benefits California residents who purchased gasoline at a retail location in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo or Imperial counties in California between Feb. 20, 2015, and Nov. 10, 2015.
According to the California attorney general, the gas companies conspired together to raise and fix the price of gasoline. This conspiracy allegedly violated California antitrust laws and harmed consumers by forcing them to pay a higher price for gas.

California gasoline nonresident settlement
Vitol, SK Energy Americas and SK Trading International agreed to pay $50 million to resolve California attorney general allegations claiming they conspired to raise gas prices.
The nonresident settlement benefits nonresidents who bought gasoline on behalf of a business or as an out-of-state visitor in California between Feb. 18, 2015, and May 31, 2017.

Dealer management systems class action settlement
Reynolds and CDK Global agreed to a $129.5 million settlement to resolve claims they conspired to raise the price of their services.
The settlement benefits vehicle sellers who purchased dealer management services from either the Reynolds and Reynolds Company or CDK Global LLC between Sept. 1, 2013, and Aug. 15, 2024.
According to the multidistrict litigation, Reynolds and CDK conspired to raise and fix the price of dealer management services. This conspiracy allegedly violated state and federal antitrust laws.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 9, 2025.
Wells Fargo COVID forbearance class action settlement
Wells Fargo agreed to pay $185 million to resolve claims it placed mortgages into forbearance during the COVID-19 pandemic without informed consent.
The settlement benefits borrowers who had a Wells Fargo-serviced mortgage placed into COVID forbearance without informed consent between March 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2021.
The class action lawsuit claimed Wells Fargo failed to properly inform consumers and obtain consent before placing mortgages on COVID forbearance. Borrowers argue the bank placed their mortgages on forbearance when they didn't want them to be, causing financial hardship and other harm.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 10, 2025.
$197.5M ATM fees class action settlement
Visa and Mastercard agreed to pay $197.5 million to resolve claims they charged unlawful surcharges and fees on ATM transactions.
The settlement benefits consumers and businesses that paid an unreimbursed ATM access fee to JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and banks that are members of the Visa or Mastercard ATM networks between Oct. 1, 2007, and July 26, 2024.
Plaintiffs in the case claim Visa and Mastercard conspired with banks in violation of antitrust laws to charge inflated surcharges on ATM transactions. These increased fees allegedly hurt consumers and businesses.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 22, 2025.
HomeAgain premium membership class action settlement
Intervet agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it tricked consumers into paying for HomeAgain memberships.
The settlement benefits consumers who paid for a HomeAgain premium service membership in certain states during various periods between May 19, 2016, and Sept. 12, 2024.
According to the class action lawsuit, Intervet intentionally misled consumers into thinking they had to pay for a HomeAgain premium service subscription for their microchip to remain in the pet recovery database. Consumers argue they wouldn't have purchased these memberships if they knew they weren't necessary.
The deadline to file a claim with the settlement is Jan. 27, 2025.
