Travis Hunter had one more major life update to share before his NFL debut, and this one had nothing to do with football.
Just days ahead of his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hunter revealed that he and his wife, Leanna Lenee, are officially parents. In a surprise Instagram post, the couple linked to a YouTube video titled "Dear Son..." that ends with the birth of their baby boy.
In the video, an emotional Hunter reacts to seeing his son for the first time.
"That baby looks just like me," he says with a proud smile. "You did good, baby," he tells Leanna, who's been by his side since his high school football days in Georgia.
The announcement caught fans off guard, especially since the couple kept the pregnancy completely private until now. Hunter and Leanna recently tied the knot in a stunning Tennessee wedding and celebrated with a tropical honeymoon, making their growing family official just in time for football season.
Hunter, the No. 2 overall draft pick and a Heisman winner out of Colorado, now has even more reason to be motivated as he prepares for the Jaguars' home opener against the Carolina Panthers.
Football can wait. Right now, it's all about fatherhood. Congratulations to the Hunter family.
